Alvaro Rojas’ Gran Kasa

Gran Kasa is a 7 piece group that combines elements of Afro-Peruvian rhythm with elements of latin jazz, prog rock and chamber music, presented through Rojas’ own unique approach to melody, harmony, texture, and sound. The group’s 2020 release features vocals by Peruvian icon Susana Baca. An exciting, high energy ensemble.

Alvaro Rojas’ Music for 22

Music for 22 is music composed for guitar + string quartet. Part chamber music, part jazz improv and part ambient soundscape, this project is a spacious and textural exploration of slower, darker, imaginary worlds. With the guitar and string section sometimes working together, sometimes in opposition, Music for 22 ranges from contemplative beauty to turbulent rage. The groups 2022 release features guest vocals by American Rn’B vocalist and producer Georgia Anne Muldrow.

Alvaro Rojas Solo
